'Scream' magazine

This again is a very simple magazine front cover for the film Scream 4. For this examople of the magazine 'Entertainment Weekly' the title of the magazine is written in white which is also the same as the heading for the film sream. The colour white is a porminate feature on the front cobver as it is also shown on the mask. This colouur is very striking on the black and red bakcground.

There is very little text on the magazine front cover which darws thwe viewers attention even more to the scary image. The image is of the well known Mask uded in all the Scream film. This well known feature will be recognised by the films fans as they will automatically knoow what the magazine has inside by the trade mark mask.

As the main colours on the magazines front cover are black, white and red it deomonstrate that the film is dangerous and scary. This will interest horror movie fans even if they havent seen any of the other film and dont reognise the mask. The colours black and red suggest to the audience darkness and evil where as the colour white usuall suggests inncoence and ourity howver in this instace the maks is shown to be ghost like.

The title of the magazine is written across the top of the magazine in bold white writng which causes it to also be a main focuS. However the front cover is main focused on the film scream which suggests they think it is a good selling point and want to draw a big audience in using this well knwon feature.The writing on the bottom right hand side is all about the film which protmootes the film and includes interview with well known actors. It uses lanagauge such as 'bloody battle' which reflects the groosom and aggresive events that occur in the film.
